Special Program @ Kanto Conference (12/7): Iki Monozukuri Workshop Let's create new products based on the characteristics of living organisms!
2024.11.17Lotus leaves to yogurt lids, kingfishers to bullet trains... There are many things around us that are useful to society by taking advantage of the shapes and characteristics of living creatures. In this workshop, teams of participants will work with graduate students engaged in ikimono research at the Kanagawa Institute of Technology to come up with ideas for new home appliances based on the characteristics of living creatures. The future of home appliances may be born from this workshop!
On the day of the project, flat discussions are held with Kanagawa Institute of Technology graduate students who are in charge of each team. By considering what kind of research and development should be done to realize what they want to create, participants can enjoy the process of thinking like researchers.

Time: 16:00 - 16:45 (45 minutes)
Content: In the workshop, teams will devise ideas for research and development of new products utilizing the characteristics of living creatures. Each team will be accompanied by a Kanagawa Institute of Technology graduate student who will introduce the latest research activities and tell them how to expand/compile their ideas. In flat discussions with the graduate students, participants will enjoy the process of thinking like researchers by considering what kind of research and development should be done to realize what they want to create.
