Astellas Pharma Inc. and LIVANES Corporation have selected the following five teams for the Astellas Award for Science Castle Research Fund, which is jointly sponsored by Astellas Pharma Inc. and LIVANES Corporation, after a strict screening process.

For this year's competition, we invited applications from junior and senior high school students from all over Japan under the theme of "any kind of research that considers health from the perspective of the relationship between people and society.

The five selected projects will not only receive funding for their research expenses, but will also receive advice on how to proceed with their research from Astellas Pharma Inc. employees who will serve as advisors along with LIVERNESS staff. In December, each team will present the results of their research at the Astellas Research Institute in Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture, providing an opportunity for the researchers to present their work.

Astellas Pharma Inc. and LIVANES Inc. are committed to supporting future researchers by actively conducting educational activities through this initiative.
