Themes for Construction and Waste Heat Utilization] Passionate and Cutting-edge Mission-E: Call for Applications for FY2023 is now open! Kanto and Kitakyushu Area

2023.04.27
【建築・廃熱利用テーマ】情熱・先端 Mission-E 2023年度募集開始!【関東・北九州地域 】

Passionate and Advanced Mission-E is a STEAM educational program in which high school students learn knowledge and perspectives from Nittetsu Engineering engineers and spend approximately eight months learning how to solve social issues through hands-on activities.

Through this program, we aim to nurture engineers who will lead the future by experiencing the world of engineering and its fascination.

Organized by: Nittetsu Engineering Co.

Planning and operation: LIVERNESS Co.

Mission-E point 1:Acquiring cross-disciplinary problem-solving skills through manufacturing

Students will use their knowledge of a variety of subjects, including physics, mathematics, and social studies, as they design, build, and present structural models and heat recovery models. Students will experience the comprehensive thinking required to solve real engineering and social problems.

Mission-E point 2Discussions with real engineers

You can work on development while receiving advice from real engineers and researchers. At each event, there is also a social event where you can talk freely about your work and career paths outside of the project.

Schedule Overview

Kanto] Space Architecture Project

~Build the 2030 Winter Olympics stadium!

The teams are required to design the stadium, which is a huge spatial building, and to build a structural model of about 1/100 of its actual size, based on the assumption that the stadium will be constructed for the 2030 Winter Olympic Games. In the final contest, the participating teams will compete against each other with their ideas for the utilization of the stadium and environmental friendliness, as well as with load-bearing tests that simulate snow accumulation and other conditions.

<Outline of Recruitment
Application Period:April 26 - May 30, 2023
Target : Groups of high school students (in the case of integrated junior and senior high schools, mixed teams with junior high school students are also acceptable)
Location: Each school, Nittetsu Engineering Head Office, Center of Garage

Conditions for participation: 1) Schools must be within 2 hours by public transportation to Tokyo

  (2) The 2mx2m structure must be stored inside the school and have a route to remove it to the outside.

*Nittetsu Engineering Head Office: Osaki Center Building, 1-5-1 Osaki, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo
*Center of Garage: 1-16-3 Yokogawa, Sumida-ku, Tokyo *Venue is subject to change

If you are unable to attend the online information session but would like to know more details, we can provide you with a separate online interview, etc. Please indicate this in the form.

Kitakyushu] Ecology Plant Project

〜Design the factory of the future using waste heat.

The challenge is to consider the rice cooker as a factory and convert its waste heat into power to heat a 12.8L space 1.5m away from the cooker (heating function). Participants will design and experiment to demonstrate how to effectively utilize energy without compromising the function of the rice cooker.
