<The flow of a day

Advanced Research with Roots in the Community〜あふれる自然とあふれる課題、好奇心と使命感が未来を変える〜
東北地方は多様な自然を有する豊かな地域であるという側面と、農業や水産業の高齢化等、過疎による医療問題等、エネルギー問題等、課題集積エリアという側面をもっています。みなさんの周りには、身の回りのふしぎを解明する「好奇心から始まる研究」と、世の中の実際の課題に対して解決をしていく「使命感からはじまる研究」、両方の研究の種がおちているのです。今年の東北大会では、好奇心と使命感から始まる様々な研究テーマを募集します。また、実際に「日本一の短命県、青森」を研究を通して変えていこうとする研究者のお話等があります。本大会を通じて、この豊かな地域の未来を変える研究者達が集まる事を期待しています（東北大会リーダー　百目木幸枝）。

<Contents.
特定の地域や集団の人々を対象に長期間にわたり健康状態と生活週間や環境との関係を調査する「コホート研究」。青森県弘前市岩木地区の住民に対する健康増進プロジェクトを進める村下公一先生に地域から始まる健康研究の最前線についてお話いただきます。

＜特別ブース展示「健康研究最前線！」＞
東北は日本一の短命県である青森県や、がん死亡率1位の秋田県、脳卒中死亡率1位の岩手県など、健康課題の先進地域です。そこで、健康課題に関する企業・大学の先端研究事例を紹介する特別企画を行います。

石澤 敏洋 氏　審査員長
株式会社リバネス 地域開発事業部 部長　博士（生命科学）
東京大学大学院 新領域創成科学研究科 博士課程修了。博士（生命科学）。専門は分子生物学。細胞の中でエネルギーを作り出す器官であるミトコンドリアに関する研究を行う。研究を軸に世界を変える技術を生み出すため、大学発ベンチャーの立ち上げ支援や研究開発支援に取り組んでいる。

Mr. Kenji Sakurai
Associate Professor, Department of Bioproduction Science, Faculty of Bioresource Sciences, Akita Prefectural University Doctor of Agriculture
Completed the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. Conducted basic research on breeding of fruit trees, especially apple. Analysis of apple self-incompatibility genes, analysis of apple allergens and related genes, and development of new mutation breeding methods for fruit trees by ion beam irradiation. In addition, he is also involved in the preservation, exploration, and dissemination of seeds of Akita local crops, especially traditional Akita vegetables.

冨田 浩史 氏
岩手大学　理工学部生命コース　視覚神経科学研究室　教授　博士（医学）
京都府立大学大学院修士課程修了。東北大学医学研究科にて博士（医学）取得。失明を来す疾患の網膜変性メカニズムに関する研究を行い、現在は、光受容イオンチャネル遺伝子を用いた失明者の視覚を回復するための遺伝子治療技術の開発を行っている

弘前大学 教授・副理事(研究担当)
弘前大学 COI研究推進機構(医学研究科)・機構長補佐(戦略統括)
弘前大学 健康未来イノベーションセンター・企画戦略部門長（併任）
弘前大学 医学部・学部長講師(社会医学講座)（併任）
青森県庁、ソニー、東大フェロー等を経て2014年より現職。弘前大COIでは戦略統括として産学連携マネジメントを総括。文科省COIとAIとの新たな展開検討会合委員他、政府系委員等多数。専門は、地域産業(イノベーション)政策、社会医学。

壽福 麻里子 氏
ロート製薬株式会社　広報・CSV推進部　広報・CSVグループ
九州大学 生物資源環境科学府修士課程修了。2011年～6年間、食品メーカーで調味料の開発・工業化を担当。2017年より現職。地域と連携した商品づくりや広報活動に関わる。
