Kansai Conference of Science Castle, an academic conference for junior high and high school students(The advanced research session "Research on Teenage Bones" will be held on December 22 (Sunday, December 22, 2019) at Doshisha University. 〜Let's learn about the "bones" that influence your life" (Partner: Doshisha University) will be held during the advanced research session.

Recent studies have shown that bone density in teenagers is declining, and there is concern that they may develop osteoporosis in the future. However, there is no safe and simple device to measure bone density, and until now, we have not been able to educate teenagers. We will introduce medical applications of ultrasound engineering based on electrical engineering and physics, using the example of an ultrasound device developed by Doshisha University and Applied Electric Works, Ltd. to simply measure bone density in junior age groups.

Not only this program, but also other programs that will be discussed by junior high and high school students, teachers, university and corporate researchers, and venture companies from various perspectives are available. Mami Matsukawa, Professor, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Doshisha University

After completing his master's degree in electrical engineering at Doshisha University, he worked as a researcher at the Osaka National Research Institute of Industrial Technology, Agency of Industrial Science and Technology, Ministry of International Trade and Industry before joining the faculty at Doshisha University. D. in Engineering. Specialized in electrical and electronic measurement and ultrasonic electronics.

 

 

 

Kenta Miyai, Meisei Junior & Senior High School, Osaka Meisei Gakuen

Born in 1980. Health and Physical Education teacher at Meisei Junior and Senior High School. Currently head of the Physical Education Department and advisor to the Track and Field Club. Graduated from Kumiyama High School in Kyoto Prefecture to Tenri University, Department of Physical Education. Started track and field in the 5th grade of elementary school, and participated in the Inter-High School Championships, the Japan Championships, and the National Athletic Meet. She is committed to teaching in daily classes and clubs with the goal of nurturing healthy minds and bodies in her students.

Jyo Inoue, Representative Director, Vice President CTO, Liverness, Inc.

D., Pharmacist, Tokyo University of Pharmacy and Life Sciences. He is a founding member of LIVERNESS. After completing his doctoral studies, he worked as an assistant professor and lecturer at the Faculty of Science, Kitasato University, and an assistant professor at the Graduate School of Medicine, Kyoto University, before being appointed and concurrently serving as a specially-appointed associate professor at the Institute for Advanced Biosciences, Keio University in 2015, and as a professor of advanced pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kumamoto University and a visiting professor at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Keio University in 2018. While conducting research and development, he is a researcher involved in launching joint research projects with universities and research institutions and supporting the establishment of research institutes.
