The EBARA Prize 2022 has been closed for submissions.
Ebara Corporation develops technologies and products that control the "flow" of gases, liquids, and electricity, such as pumps, blowers, semiconductor device manufacturing equipment, and power generation facilities.
And by controlling the flow, we are a company that continues to take on the challenge of solving social issues around the world and creating a bright future.
Through the Science Castle Research Grant, we would like to create a new future by using "flow" together with junior and senior high school students. We are looking forward to receiving applications for a wide variety of ideas!
Themes adopted in the past
For the past two years, we have adopted and supported a variety of research projects. We look forward to receiving a variety of application themes again this year!
- Effects of shoreline features on microplastic flow and deposition
- What is the most efficient ventilation method in a regular classroom? ~Quantified by carbon dioxide concentration, temperature changes, and smoke migration~.
- Development of a power generation device using a thermoacoustic device in a high school laboratory
- Development of wind tunnel equipment to measure turbulence generated by model rockets and fins and the aerodynamic drag to which model rockets are subjected.
- Efficient Sr²⁺ Absorption Method by Creating a Flow in Mikazuki Kimo - Toward the Recovery of Radioactive Substances Using Mikazuki Kimo
- Dating of Marine Plastic Misplaced by Horse Mackerel Reveals Duration of Plastic Trash Drift
- Development of air conditioning system using natural energy on school grounds
- Study on the relationship between salinity and Euglena growth solution for continuous breeding (aquaculture) of clams fed with Euglena

Application Theme
Research on using "flow" to create the future
For example, the following studies. However, this is not limited to this, and you are free to come up with your own ideas.
- Studies that require measuring and evaluating gas and liquid flows
- Studies requiring control of gas or liquid flow
- Research to conduct experiments under conditions of low pressure, vacuum, etc.
- Research on organisms that live in streams and objects that move in streams
- Studies involving the measurement and control of currents.
- Research involving "flow" other than fluid and electricity as described above
Can I apply for this kind of theme? How should I plan my research? Please feel free to consult with us if you have any questions or concerns before submitting an application. We will support you via e-mail or web interview.
