Announcement of Science Castle Research Fund THK Award 2021 recipients!
2021.09.10This year marks the fifth year of the THK Co-Education Project, which started in 2017 as a project to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the company's founding in 2021. To date, children who have experienced this project are moving on to the next challenge, such as taking on the challenge of solving social issues through manufacturing.
This year again, we received many applications for the "Science Castle Research Fund THK Award" and after careful screening, 10 schools were selected. This brings the total number of adopted schools to 50 teams over the five-year period. From now on, THK employees' technical advisors and RIVANES' Science Bridge Communicators will continue to support the research and development through monthly meetings.
THK Co-operative Education Projectindicates word or phrase being defined
The "LM Guide" is a mechanical element used in manufacturing equipment that produces familiar products such as cutting-edge smartphones, PCs, and televisions. The project is a next-generation development project that began with the desire to "increase the number of people who love manufacturing and can solve problems. THK supports students who have something they want to solve or something they want to make with the "Science Castle Research Fund THK Award" and the "Development of Monozukuri Teaching Materials" in which THK engineers bring the rigors and joys of monozukuri directly to school sites. THK's engineers, who are usually working at the cutting edge of the world, will directly convey the fun and passion of manufacturing to the students, thereby fostering creative and development-oriented human resources.
Comments from the Jury
This year marks the fifth year of the THK Co-Education Project, which began in 2017, and as THK celebrates its 50th anniversary, we are very pleased to see many ideas from young researchers who are ready to take on various social issues. We will continue to work with the selected teams to develop their ideas together with our technical advisors. We hope to make this a place where we can learn and grow together through discussions. Let's do our best!
