Call for entries for Science Castle 2020, a conference for middle and high school students, is now open!
2020.06.24Science Castle, which started in 2012 in Osaka as a "place to present research" for junior and senior high school students, is now being held not only in Japan but also in other countries. The number of participating students has grown from 252 at the 2012 conference to 1,631 by the 2019 conference, a six-fold increase, making it one of the largest conferences in Asia.
And this year, Science Castle will be updated from "a place to present research" to "a place to make new friends". Because each student has different interests, the research topics presented at this event are diverse. Science Castle maximizes this "diversity" and creates connections not only among junior and senior high school student researchers, but also with researchers from companies, universities, and research institutes. In addition to oral and poster presentations, there will be many opportunities to integrate each other's knowledge, including sessions in which research presentations are relayed overseas and discussions between junior high and high school students and researchers from partner companies and universities.
The catalyst for creating new chemical reactions is the passion of each participant. That is why we would like all junior and senior high school student researchers to present the results of their research, which they have been working on step by step without giving up, with their own thoughts and feelings. We will be there with as much passion as you!
The members of the Science Castle Management Office and I are looking forward to meeting you all at the various venues!
