2022.12.01LIVANES Corporation, together with The Chugoku Bank, Ltd. and Sanyo Shimbun, Inc. will hold the "Science Castle 2022 Chugoku-Shikoku Conference".
Science Castle started in Osaka in 2012 as a place for junior high and high school students to present their research, and has since expanded to other parts of Japan and abroad. This year's conference has been expanded to include 12 oral presentations and 65 poster presentations by the next generation of researchers.
REVANES Corporation supports enthusiastic junior and senior high school student researchers in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions. Let's create an as yet undiscovered world together with the Chugoku-Shikoku Region Conference as a starting point!

What kind of university and research life can you enjoy at Okayama University of Science? This time, Professor Tetsuya Akagi of the Faculty of Information Science and Technology and his senior graduate students will take the stage to introduce the initiatives of the Faculty of Information Science and Technology, the pneumatic artificial muscles that Mr. Akagi and his graduate students are developing, and the robots that apply them. Demonstrations of the pneumatic artificial muscles they have developed and time for questions with Mr. Akagi and his graduate students will be scheduled, and they will interact with the junior and senior high school students who will attend the event.

As part of a sustainable initiative to achieve zero food waste in the region, we are cooperating in the product development of wet wipes made from grapes grown in Akaban. The Bank is supporting the creation of a platform for food loss solutions and adopting the products for the Bank's distribution.

Professor Tetsuya Akagi, Faculty of Information Science and Technology, Okayama University of Science, will introduce pneumatic artificial muscles being developed in his laboratory, as well as flexible robots based on these muscles. Please come and feel the possibilities of robots and wearable devices that expand with the power of air. We look forward to interacting with junior and senior high school students interested in manufacturing and robot development.
