Science Castle 2021 Kyushu Conference Date: Sunday, January 23, 2021! Entries are now being accepted! (Closing date: November 30).

The Science Castle 2021 Kyushu Conference will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at the Higo Bank Head Office (Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture).

In addition to oral and poster presentations by junior and senior high school student researchers, the day will feature discussions among researchers from universities, research institutes, and venture companies, transcending their positions, to provide even more opportunities to discover new values and next steps in research. We look forward to seeing you there.

We are currently accepting entries for Science Castle domestic competitions, including the Kyushu competition, so please apply now. (entryDeadline:Tuesday, 11/30)

<Flow of the day

The conference plans to implement the following projects. (The contents of the plans are subject to change)

From the viewpoint of preventing the spread of new corona infection, the event will be operated under adequate infection prevention measures such as ventilation and alcohol disinfection, avoiding a three-density environment. Depending on the status of the spread of infection, we may consider switching to an online format.

Poster presentations (approximately 50 middle and high school students)
Presentation of research results in poster format by the entering schools. Discussions and exchanges with poster judges consisting of students and teachers from other schools and young researchers.
12:00-12:45 lunch
13:00-16:00
Oral presentations (12)
Twelve teams, selected from among the schools that entered the competition through a preliminary screening of documents, will present their research.
