Veolia Genetics Corporation ERGA Lab Water Division exhibited a booth to promote understanding of ultrapure water! Science Castle Kansai Conference
2024.01.16ERGA Lab Water Division of Veolia Genetics Co., Ltd. held a booth exhibition at the Science Castle 2023 Kansai Conference! Let's build a clean experimental environment with "ultrapure water"" at Science Castle 2023 Kansai.
The purpose of this project is to foster awareness of the need to pay attention to the uniformity of experimental environments and solvent conditions in everyday research activities, using ultrapure water as a starting point, and to support the growth of the next generation of researchers who will be at the forefront of science and technology.
On the day of the event, many teachers and junior and senior high school students gathered at the booth and participated in demonstrations where they could touch the ultrapure water device to produce water and conductivity tests of ultrapure water.
Some participants also read the exhibit materials on the types of impurities in water and removal techniques, and filled out a questionnaire about their research environment.

Science Castle participants said.
I was impressed by the booth project of ultra pure water, which has dozens of times lower percentage of impurities than pure water made with ion-exchanged water.
It was good to learn about ultrapure water, RO water, and other types of water that are actually used in experiments.
The exhibits seemed to have left a strong impression on the visitors, with comments such as "I was very impressed with the exhibits.
While more and more middle and high schools are getting involved in research activities, "ultrapure water," which is used as a matter of course in universities for cleaning and as a solvent, is still a little-known entity.
We hope that this project will help teachers and next-generation researchers become more aware of clean and safe experimental environments.

Project name: University research is a matter of course! Let's build a clean experimental environment with "ultrapure water!
Includes information about the project:
Water is the solvent that people utilize the most. In fact, the tap water we normally use contains about 1 ton of impurities in the amount that fills an Olympic swimming pool.
Universities and research institutes use "ultrapure water" from which impurities have been removed to improve the reproducibility of experiments, to prepare solvents and culture media used in cutting-edge research such as chemical synthesis, ultra-trace analysis, and cell cultivation, and to perform ultra-clean cleaning of semiconductor components, which require ultimate purity.
ELGA Lab Water manufactures ultrapure water apparatuses that are simple and easy to use. We want to help accelerate research by having future researchers use these devices, and with this in mind, we will be giving a special demonstration of our ultrapure water device at the Science Castle Kansai Conference.
