8/29 Science Castle Seminar at Hatsushiba Ritsumeikan High School
2016.09.01On Monday, August 29, from 16:30-18:30, an on-site Science Castle Seminar was held at Hatsushiba Ritsumeikan High School. This project was held in conjunction with the Science PR Day held on June 21 at Hatsushiba Ritsumeikan High School.

The "Science PR Day" held on June 21 was an advanced science experiment class conducted by researchers. The class has been held for the past five years in order to increase students' interest in science, and to implement their choice of arts and sciences and career options based on their intellectual curiosity.
This year, as a new challenge, we are conducting a "Castle Seminar" after the experiment class to guide students interested in science to research on their own subjects.
On July 21, students who became interested in research after the PRDAY gathered to form a research team to present their research at the Science Castle. (See theClick here to see how it looks.)
The students met over the summer to discuss their research topics and plans, and on August 29, they presented their future research plans to the Liberace communicators, discussed their research topics, and established a schedule for the future.
<Contents.
- Report on summer vacation activities (students)
- Research Methods in Microbial Research (Liverness)
- To discover new biodegradable plastic-degrading bacteria
- If you wish to investigate the ability of biodegradable plastic degrading bacteria
- To discover new useful microorganisms
- discussion
- Determination of research theme
- Future Plans
With the theme and the schedule set through December, the students are now ready to begin their research activities.
As an output of the research class, we are conducting a conference Science Castle for middle and high school students. The primary deadline for 2016 presentation applications is 9/30 and the secondary deadline is 10/31. We encourage everyone to apply.
