The population of Southeast Asia is relatively young, with an average age of 30 compared to 49 in Japan. In this region with many young people, there is also a need to support a relatively large number of young researchers. In this connection, "Science Castle," a conference for junior and senior high school students, is being held not only in Japan but also in Malaysia as an Asian conference. More than 1,500 participants from 95 schools in 9 Asian countries attended this year's Asian conference, the second of its kind. The conference provided an opportunity for budding researchers from all over Southeast Asia to present their research to each other, improve their research skills, and make connections with students from other countries who share the same passion.
In this program, students from Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines, who have achieved excellent results in this year's Asian Games, and students from Japan will introduce their past research and future plans, including their experiences in the Asian Games. If you are interested in talking with fellow researchers from Southeast Asia, are interested in the Asian Games, would like to conduct research abroad, or would like to communicate in English, please join us.

Implementation Details:
In this program, we will share with you what kind of research is being conducted in Southeast Asia with students from Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines. They will also share their experiences at "Science Castle Asia" held in October 2024, and what kind of future they envision as the next generation researchers as well as Japanese junior and senior high school students. We will also invite those who are conducting research in Japan to share their own experiences.
