<Speakers
Mr. Katsuya Shimizu, 3rd year doctoral student in the Department of Chemistry and Biology, Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka City University

He is a member of the Organic Materials Chemistry Laboratory, where he designs, synthesizes, and analyzes photochromic compounds that change color reversibly when exposed to light. He is also the representative of Honaikude, a student organization that promotes the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025. Last year, when it was decided that Osaka would host the Expo, he decided to join the organization, hoping to bring together students in Osaka to contribute something to the event.

Keito Kawagishi, Doctoral Student, Department of Materials and Chemical Sciences, Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka Prefecture University, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Postdoctoral Fellowship DC1

He belongs to the Laboratory of Nano-Chemical Systems Engineering, where he is conducting research aimed at establishing the ultimate chemical process that allows single molecules to be freely manipulated with each other. He was the first in the world to devise and demonstrate a method for creating and manipulating nanometer-scale microdroplets from solutions, and contributed to the establishment of microdroplet reactor technology for single molecules. He joined Honaikude, a student organization aiming to exhibit in a pavilion at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, to deepen his ideas and research with people from all walks of life.

Shota Ueda, 1st year doctoral student, Department of Physical Sciences, Graduate School of Science, Osaka Prefecture University

He is a member of the Astrophysics Laboratory, where he is developing a receiver and telescope control system for a radio telescope with an aperture of 1.85 m, which is owned by the laboratory. The telescope is scheduled to be relocated to Chile in South America, and while preparing for the relocation, he is also working on a machine learning method to process the data obtained by the astronomical instruments. He joined Honaikude because he would like to contribute something to the student organization Honaikude, which is planning the Osaka-Kansai Expo in 2025, using his knowledge of space as his field of expertise.
