Creating the soil in which environmental research can grow

The Kyushu Conference will be held in Minamata City, the environmental capital of Japan. There are many environmental issues such as environmental cleanup, load reduction, and natural symbiosis, and they never cease. We need leaders who can solve such social issues in the future. Every researcher has the ability to turn a familiar mystery into an interest and take action on his or her own. I believe that the development of human resources with this ability will be the foundation for building a better society.

Science Castle is a place for middle and high school students currently engaged in research projects to present and interact with each other. Not only junior high and high school students, but also universities and local businesses gather at the conference. We hope to use this Science Castle as an opportunity to expand the circle of people who are changing the world through research from Minamata City.
