地球環境への配慮や資源問題を理由に、世界では化石燃料からのエネルギー転換・脱炭素化が進められています。中でも水素エネルギーは、国による2050年まで見据えた「水素基本戦略」策定など、ますます身近になっていく可能性が高まっています。
本田技研工業株式会社では、水素の製造から利用、応用の「つくる、つかう、つながる」をコンセプトに水素エネルギーに向き合い、水素エネルギーの正しい理解を促す「次世代水素教育プロジェクト」を2015年からリバネスとともに取り組んでいます。2018年度に引き続き、次世代の水素エネルギー研究人材を育むべくサイエンスキャッスル研究費 Honda賞を本年度も設置致します。水素燃料電池はもちろん、水素エネルギーを利用した地域課題解決などでも構いません。将来の水素社会を見すえた、意義のある研究を募集します。採択されたチームには、研究費と基礎を学ぶための水素燃料電池セットをお渡しします。

Application Requirements
- The junior high school student or high school or college of technology student who is applying must take the initiative in applying.
- Have the consent of the parent or guardian or the school to which the student belongs
- Be able to provide information (including contact information) that must be provided on the application form.
- サイエンスキャッスル2019, 関東大会で研究成果を発表すること
- 採択者の情報や研究の内容及び成果（採択者の氏名、年齢、所属学校、顔写真等の個人情報を含みます）が、リバネス及び本田技研工業が運営するWebサイト、刊行物、SNSその他媒体を問わずメディアに掲載されることに同意いただけること

Register for a LIVERNESS ID
All middle and high school students who wish to apply are required to register all members of the team, whether they are representatives or not, with their RIBANES ID. The Research Grant Entry screen will appear after you log in to your RIBANES ID, so please register with your RIBANES ID.
Preparation of Consent Form
学校活動の一環として実施する場合は学校教員の同意書（学校用）を、そうでない場合はチームメンバー全員の保護責任者の同意書（個人用）を準備してください。
Please upload the scanned data of the completed and sealed documents from the application form, and send the original documents to the Science Castle Research Funding Office.

学校教員など、申請する研究内容について、推薦書を記入依頼し、提出の準備をしてください。申請フォームより記入済み書類のスキャンデータのアップロードし、原本はサイエンスキャッスル研究費担当までご郵送ください。

Interview Appointment
Once you have completed your application and submitted the form, please schedule an appointment for an interview. The interview will be conducted via either skype or google hangout. After submitting the form, we will send you information on how to make an appointment for an interview.
