The Science Castle 2024 Tokyo-Kanto conference will produce a "super high school-level research community" consisting of 12 oral presentations and 80 posters.
Selected presenters will be able to have their presentations heard by research coaches and others and receive guidance and encouragement while making horizontal connections with other presenters in a group seminar format (online).
In recent years, we have held a "Future Workshop" after the competition with contestants, partner companies, and Leave a Nest to support teenage researchers in enriching their ideas.

Oriental Motor Co., Ltd. develops and manufactures precision small motors and drive circuits used in a wide range of fields from industrial equipment to medical devices. The company has recently developed an educational robot, "Motion System Master," to bring the possibilities of motor technology and cutting-edge robotics technology to schools.
In this workshop, we will hold a competition using this "Motion System Master". Participants will build a system to accomplish a mission with a robot and experience robot control equivalent to that of an industrial robot, which "grabs things and moves them.
We are looking for middle and high school students interested in controlling the motion of the robot arm to participate, as well as teachers who would like to incorporate robotics education into their teaching!
Project 3ikimonozukuri workshop Let's create new products based on the characteristics of living organisms!

Lotus leaves to yogurt lids, kingfishers to bullet trains... There are many things around us that are useful to society by taking advantage of the shapes and characteristics of living creatures. In this workshop, teams of participants will work with graduate students engaged in ikimono research at the Kanagawa Institute of Technology to come up with ideas for new home appliances based on the characteristics of living creatures. The future of home appliances may be born from this workshop!
On the day of the project, flat discussions are held with Kanagawa Institute of Technology graduate students who are in charge of each team. By considering what kind of research and development should be done to realize what they want to create, participants can enjoy the process of thinking like researchers.
Project 4Let's use environmental DNA to reveal the biodiversity of rivers!

Currently, global goals for the conservation and restoration of biodiversity are being set and actual action is required, and the TASUKI-襷-Project is taking on the challenge of assessing aquatic biodiversity in the field of rivers and Lake Biwa, which are connected to Tokyo Bay. In this project, we will conduct comprehensive species analysis from water sampling samples while incorporating environmental DNA technology.
On the day of the project, participants will experience the water quality survey experiment and plankton identification process with the junior and senior high school students who participated in the project. The Technology College of Nihon Kogakuin College of Technology, where next-generation engineers who support the infrastructure around us learn technology and knowledge. We will introduce the Kamata School's industry-academia collaboration projects in the fields of architecture and mechanical and electrical engineering at our booth in the poster room and at the actual equipment and model exhibition booth in the 12th floor break space.
