Science Castle ASEAN Conference, a record 63 applications were received and the call for applications was closed.

2020.09.29
Science Castle ASEAN Conference closes its call for applications with a record 63 applications received.

Sixty-three applications for the 2020 Castle, the largest in the history of Castle in Southeast Asia, were received from five countries: three from Southeast Asia, one from South Asia, and one from Japan.

In addition, this year's theme was set and the call for applications was distributed among the following themes: circular economy-related (plastic and energy issues), natural resources, food and agriculture, global environment, and space. The two themes of food and agriculture and energy seemed to be areas of particular interest this year.

Twelve teams will be selected from the pool of applicants to present on November 4-5. All requested applicant teams will also be given the opportunity to obtain peer/feedback on their research in the form of a 5-minute video presentation of their presentation to be made available on the RIVANES platform. Previously, this was accomplished in the form of a poster presentation, but considering the circumstances of this year, we have decided to take the form of an online publication.

We look forward to seeing you at the November 4-5 online event.

While it is not possible to travel abroad, RIVERNESS Malaysia and Singapore can also provide a collaborative research and science-based exchange with local schools in an online environment.
